Stupidity In Education Seems To Be A WorldWide Epidemic

via enc.na
It is no secret that I have lost all respect for the Education System in the US for a very long time. It is an issue that is so very broken that it truly needs to be wiped out and completely rebuilt from the ground up again. I am not the only one that feels this way, one of the most famous long time advocates of education reform is Dr. Bill Cosby, whom has his Doctorate in Education. A more recent well known advocate is Matt Damon; and while I do not generally support actors getting into 'politics' only cause most do not have true understandings of the 'causes' that they take up, however, in this case both Dr. Bill Cosby and Mr. Damon have knowledge of the cause they have taken up.

The shame is that EVERYONE does not take up the cause of education. For those of you that think it isn't your cause, cause you don't have children or your children are not that young or that old; the level of education of persons in a society directly determines the health, prosperity and future of the society. There are numerous studies that show that better education results in longer lives, better health, higher quality of life, more stable communities, safer communities, cleaner and more progressive communities, higher salaries and more efficient and productive employees, more innovative and inventive entrepreneur.

If you still don't see how education is EVERY ONE'S concern, let me give you what most of you consider to be the IMPORTANT facts; better education means better jobs, better jobs mean better pay, better pay means better homes, better homes mean more property taxes, healthier employees means less sick people thus lower health care costs, longer lives mean more contributions to pension funds by better paid employees thus insuring better payments to seniors. When education is a primary concern for the WHOLE society it is the WHOLE society that benefits.

If you are a 'stereo-typical white or black American' in the US you have to prove beyond any and ALL doubts that you and your child are here legally. You have to provide multiple documents for the child as well as the caretaker of the child, you have to prove not only who you are, but where you live. However, if you are an illegal, undocumented, child with no 'permanent or real' home you are welcomed with open arms and given every opportunity including extra classes to learn the languages and classes to catch the child up to grade level. These options are only available to 'real' Americans after jumping through numerous hoops and fighting every single obstacle the 'system' puts in your way. However, any parent that cannot for whatever reason jump through all these hoops and provide all the papers and PROOF of who their child is, is the one criminalized by the system for the failure of the system to provide the education to the child.

I confess that I figured that only America was so stupid as to be this insane with getting children in school. I was wrong! Serbia seems to be on the VERY SAME TRACK! It seems to lack the desire to improve the state of the Serbian society by ensuring the right to a proper education for ALL Serbian children.

There is NO child anywhere in the world that should be denied an education! EVERY CHILD deserves to have the means by which to pursue their dreams. There are enough obstacles in the world without the opportunity to have an education needing to be one of them. While I understand and appreciate some of the concerns of placing 'undocumented' children in the 'general population' what happened to regular common sense in the everyday actions of alleged intelligent educationed adults in 'authoritive' positions. What happened to the rules being a set of guidelines to provide suggested avenues or options to dealing with issues that might arise? When did the rules become EVERYTHING and the child punished in most cases for things that are not their fault at all.
The CHILD should come first ALWAYS!!!

In this age of technology we have the means to accommodate with little effort or resources many differences in teaching methods. Yet, instead of spending a little bit of money adapting to meet the needs of children we spend much more money on hindering the access by children to even the regular cookie-cutter classrooms. We expand the staff in the office to make sure that we keep as many children out of the classroom as possible and to document their leaving so that the families can be, in some cases criminally, punished for the system discriminating against and persecuting them until they feel no other option.

If you are starting to wonder about the information that you have read so far let me enlighten you some more. Education is a part of the government in most societies, as it should be so as to enable it to be accessible by ALL. That being said to keep the education of any society successful and focused on the child the society as a whole has to maintain the highest core values and thus ensure that education is a primary and properly handled institution of the government. Education is the single most important act for a healthy prosperous society. The benefits of a healthy education system overflow into every other aspect of the society. On the other hand, the lack of such a system will inflict the rest of the society adversely to the severity that the system has been neglected.

You might be thinking; how much more money do we need to throw at the system to fix it?
I would say, NONE, what needs to happen is that the system needs to be rebuilt not added too.
If you eliminate excess 'administrative' staff and excess 'paper' load then you free up resources that can be used to improve the classroom experience for the student. However, to do this we have to decide that our schools are places of REAL learning - for students to explore, experiment, question, wonder, create and not to be indoctrinated to conformity, oppressed by authority, creatively repressed and forced to be just like EVERYONE ELSE!
How do we do that? It will take your time, your commitment, your focus, your vigilance.

Can We Get An E.U.... (Part 2: How to join!!!)

So, now that we know what EU membership really means, you say you still want in. Well just in case some people at home forgot, remember you're only as free as Brussels says you are; you are only as secure as needed to protect Germany, France, Brussels; your prosperity will be in direct relation to, without exceeding, your resource and labor supplies for the benefit of the same. The EU is now a 28 country bloc, with another half dozen countries naively vying for inclusion. Yet, less than a quarter of the member countries are maintaining some form of economic survival. Matter of fact the only country that isn't sliding is Germany, which by the way isn't flying.
via timeline.com

Today you hear people say, how did Hitler get all those regular people, all those intelligent leaders, all those educated people to follow him blindly into such madness and evil. Look at the 1930's world; there was a great depression, that had come on the heels of over speculation by Wall Street, which had been running free and without responsibility, Germany and Austria were doubly hit since their unconditional surrender and subsequent 'punishment' by US/UK/France meant they missed the roaring 20's blindly embraced by the West, not only had Germany/Austria lost the war, they had lost all pride and security as well as any economic hope. The phrase about money not being worth the paper it is printed on, was so true in Depression Era Germany that it was used as waste paper, for insulation and burned in heaters. There were no jobs, no food, no money, no hope, no dreams. Then along comes Hitler. He gives names to the blame, then gives answers to the fear, he gives hope to the hopeless. He did what most like him do; he divided the people to gain power. It was the Germans being ill-used by those non-Germans that were jealous of 'German Greatness & Purity'. And that is how Hitler got all those regular, intelligent, educated people to follow him. He promised them solutions and gave them illusions. And the EU learned well from his success. His weapon was hate, the EU uses money. His promise was German Greatness, the EU promise is 'American Dream'. Hitler couldn't deliver on his promise and the EU has NO intention of delivering on its promise either.
And still you want to join.....
The peaceful method is to accept the loans and bailouts, to completely restructure your infrastructure and education system to accommodate the needs of the EU even if that compromises your culture, your history, your lands, your people. To open your doors to free trade with member nations that due to advanced technology and productivity in comparison to emerging or damaged or neglected economies severely undermine and even erode the advancement of your industry. In short you are to play the perfect Dicken's Oliver to the EU Uncle.
via mashable.com

If you cannot seem to get your act together for peaceful subjection then there is the 'peaceful protest coup' method, see the timeline of events over the past 8 months in Ukraine. The US and EU pour money into 'promoting Democracy' in the target nation by picking and choosing which 'parties' and 'NGO's' they support. In addition they run 'Radio Free Europe' not to promote freedom of speech or the press, but you promote the opinions, agenda, 'truth' of the West. You have negotiations that you do not have to abide by. You hold elections that do not follow the laws of your nation. You remove the current government illegally with the support of US/EU/NATO endorsement. You forcefully put down any and all dissent to EU intergration
Then, if you still cannot get your act together and join the EU by the aforementioned methods there is last resort, just ask Serbia. You will be violently ripped apart by 'NATO/UN Peacekeeping' and upon failure to comply bombed into submission. If violent protests, sorry 'peaceful protests' that include violence, and ripping a country apart illegally does not bring it to its knees then outside force to help with the destruction and ethnic cleansing of the independent minded and free thinking are backed by NATO. There is NO military action too great to protect those innocent terrorists that were supported in their division and destruction of nations and lands that resisted the advancement of  the great EU so that Europe can be 'free and secure and peaceful'.

With all the options listed above there is a membership route for everyone. Just decide how you want to sell your freedom and the freedom of your children, grandchildren, and their grandchildren to the amazing, wonderful, illusion of the European Union.

NO Honor Left in DC

I know that it has become common open knowledge that politicians are selfish, greedy, arrogant, narcissistic liars, but there used to be some lines that they didn't cross, at least not very often nor openly, as the public still watched them and had morals that were lacking inside the Beltway. Now the public has fallen completely under the provided delusions of mainstream media, which is owned by Big Business, the very same group that owns the politicians. I have come to the conclusion that here in the US the public will not wake up and smell the coffee until they hit the sidewalk after falling off the Empire State Building! That is the sad sad state of American society. Most Americans have allowed themselves and their children to be so dumbed down by MSM and public education, not that private is much better, yes, I have had experience with both, that they completely accept the crimes committed by our government both at home and abroad. They believe the propaganda about threats and enemies cause they are ignorant of both the locations and histories of the events abroad. The problem is that after WWII, the prosperity that followed was so intoxicating after rations during both wars and the depression betwixt them that most became addicts of "The Good Life" which replaced "The American Dream". No longer did Americans want the opportunity to live a comfortable life making an honest living from an honest days work. Instead, because the men that had served their countries so well and came home and had the chance to give something to the comfort of their families, greed at the corporate level saw a great opportunity. These corporate tycoons, had seen how well propaganda and advertising had worked for the success of the war effort; thus they tweaked it and turned it into their own success machine to corrupt the American mind. A massive campaign was launched against the American public. Mass communications, in the form of radio and then TV, were the weapons used in this war for the mind. Corporations poured ideas into the minds of Americans that love was no longer about how you treated each other, but what you gave to them; success was no longer measured by remaining true to your values or morals, but by how big your house was or how new your car was or how many outfits you owned; your neighbors were no longer those you counted on and shared with and helped out, they were the ones that you competed with to prove that you were the better father, husband, provider.
The campaign was a success and the prosperity keep rolling along. It seemed NOTHING could stop the money flowing freely into the hands of the rich making them richer. Then something came along to upset the proverbial apple cart. The civil rights movement happened and people became focused on something other than spending money. The Civil Rights Movement, in and of itself, probably would not have been that much to overcome, yet the movement snowballed. The movement woke up the spirit of human nature, the one that corporations had been so diligently lulling to sleep with their slogans and spokespersons. With the Civil Rights movement came the Peace Movement and a resurgence in the feminist movement. Then the unthinkable happened, President Kennedy made his famous speech and implored to the humanity in us all; "Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country."  And then he had the audacity to set up the Peace Corps, so that Americans could not just help their country, but also the people of other countries. (Yes, afterwards the CIA and others corrupted it) But, the final straw seems to be that President Kennedy refused to send the US into a war that he decided we could not win; not for lack of ability, yet, because those whose freedom we were supposed to secure, had no real desire to be free. As the saying goes, you cannot save people that do not want to be saved.
However, by luck or design, the three heroes of this awaking of the humanity in society, President Kennedy, his brother, Bobby, and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. all met with untimely and violent deaths. The light of humanness dimmed and the war that couldn't be won was fought and abandoned 10 years later. In that time their was still one keeper of light in the battle of good and evil, or corruption and honesty, that was the press. And that was what most people thought probably up to 9/11 and some still do. Yet, quietly and with the help of government, that should have prevented it as a violation of the First Amendment, tycoons were emerging within the news industry. As of today 6 corporations control over 90% of the media, that means that there is absolutely no independent and fair reporting taking place within this spectrum of journalism. And this 90% is also, working with the government to squash the less than 10% that is independent.  As for when the news media was firmly in the pocket of big business and government can be debated, I would say that it was completely controlled by the beginning of the wars in the Balkans, maybe even as early as the first Gulf War. But no doubt since the Balkans, there has not been any independent and fair and balance reporting of any world event by MSM.
It is of great shame that people are more concerned about Kim and Kanye getting married (who cares, it is publicity and nothing more, how they did it shows that), the latest criminal act by Justin Bieber (any parent who lets their daughter support this jerk and his career is telling their daughter that type of boy is good enough to take care of you one day, SHAME on parents for selling out daughters so cheaply), or the rantings of a complete and total jerk, that would currently be Donald Sterling (I will say again from what I heard of his comments, he isn't a racist, he thinks EVERYONE is beneath him equally, he was being a controlling jerk of a boyfriend, nothing more), than they care about violence going on in Syria, or Libya or Ukraine, or the humanitarian disaster in the Balkans. And it is this shame that allows immorality, and corruption to live healthy and happy in our sacred halls of government.

Changing Education in Serbia.....

As another condition to joining the sinking EU, Serbia needs to reform its education system. There are many countries that need to reform their education systems, some that are more 'developed' than Serbia. Part of the 'issue' seems to be that the best and brightest of Serbia's students leave their home country to make it some where else. This basic premise seems to imply that Serbia's education system isn't maybe as 'bad' as the EU Commission makes it seem. It would actually seem that the greatest reforms should be in the economy and market place as well as in research and development to create an environment that allows for the best to stay home and make their mark on the world from Serbia.
As I said most education systems need to be reformed. Most of them no longer educate, instead they train children to grow into compliant obedient workers for mega-corporations.
This immoral mentality is destroying the culture of humanity. We are not robots. We are creative, curious, adventurous, explorers of the amazing, wonderful world around us. We should be teaching our children to cultivate those traits with respect and morals. Education systems should encourage and treasure the various talents of each and EVERY child. For it is in this manner that we can truly ensure that humanity retains its humanness. We are so focused on advancing our materialistic interests that we forget our cultural needs as well as losing our respect for our heritage, especially if it conflicts with the materialistic advance. This error will be more damaging than any other action by any group or disaster that could impact the planet. It is a complete and total disgrace that not only are we throwing away historical artifacts and locations, we are also not teaching students to value, understand or gain from the knowledge left us by our ancestors.
Serbia is a prime location for a REAL reform in education. Let's start by showing the EU the door, minding our manners, of course. Then let's preserve all the history and knowledge of Serbia, both her land and people. Then lets get innovative and motivated and use that rich treasure as our guide for the future. Let Serbia be a new example for how to get it right, how to balance materialistic advances with our humanness. It can be done, we can have both. We can treasure our past and our history and still take steps forward in the materialistic world. This is the perfect time for Serbia to break free embrace her independence and blaze her own path.

How To Actually Prevent Another Ft. Hood Shooting

The recent shooting at Ft. Hood will give new breath to the Gun Control lobbyists. And while I certainly think that something should be done about the rise in violent crime, I believe in do something constructive and proactive. As I have stated before, I also believe that individuals should be held responsible and totally accountable for their actions, unless you can so valid mental defect or extreme duress. Limiting legal access by law abiding citizens to any and all weapons as is provided for in the 2nd Amendment, will NEVER reduce violent crime in this country. One need only look at the statistics of Chicago to see that. Chicago ranks tops in 2 things, the strictest gun restrictions and number of violent crimes involving, of all weapons, firearms. The obvious reason for this is that criminals do not respect the laws and thus do not use the laws or legal system to resolve conflict or to conduct business; therefore, they do not purchase their firearms legally.
The point of this article, though, is not to restate the obvious, but to point out another fact that shows how Congress and 'political correctness' have created monsters that they cannot control and refuse to claim. In what manner do I speak of? First and foremost, since this applies to most mass shooting events; we are so worried about image and we have such a force everyone to be one size education and mental health point of view that we do not properly support those individuals that need different classrooms or different enviroments to maintain stability and mental health and even to grow and be productive and contribute to the whole. These 'moments' of violence are usually a last result, they are the culmination of years and years of crying out for help, of being neglected, of not having a place of value in the group. You may be thinking how does 'political correctness' fit in here. Let me explain, when parents refuse to seek mental help for children cause they don't want to be labeled bad parents, no one encourages them, when schools and parents drug kids out of being kids they are completely screwing up the child on every level. When we cannot identify children by their differences cause it is not politically correct and when every word that can be considered a bad word is suddenly not politically correct and becomes the R word or the S word or the B word what happens when we run out of letters of the alphabet? As Shakespere alluded to.....'a rose by any other name is still a rose' and so it is with people as well.
Today we have two completely contradictory systems that do not benefit our children or at risk members at all. We have the political world that things by twisting words you make change, wrong. On the other hand we have the medical world that makes HUGE profits by providing pills for EVERYTHING. Fifty years ago a child that ran around with loads of energy and a million questions was a healthy well adjusted child, today that same child is ADD/HA and must be medicated. Those medications affect children for their whole lives, you cannot undo taking a childhood away, yet we have taken away whole generations of childhoods, not through war or disaster, but pills in bottles. All so parents can spend more time chasing dollars to buy bigger and better things to prove what good parents they are.
How does this relate to the shooting at FT. Hood? By taking away childhoods we leave create half adults. There is a real and needed purpose to childhood. It is a time where we explore and push boundaries and develop personalities. Half of EVERYTHING we will ever know we learn by the age of 7. If we medicate our children into stupors before that age then we have damaged them for life. Granted I do not know if the suspect in the shooting had this type of history, but I do not that he went through a VERY 'politically correct' basic training that does not allow for the stressing or pushing the limits of soldiers.
I have said it before and I will say it again, WAR IS HELL. And it is suppose to be. Everyone cannot be a warrior. It truly takes a very special make up of person to be a warrior. That statement is not a politically correct one, but war is not politically correct and trying to make it so and fight it with politically correct soldiers has created an even bigger hell. By trying to run the oxymoron of politically correct wars in Iraq and Afghanistan we have failed to achieve better lives for either the Iraqis, Afghans, or Americans. By allowing any individual that can achieve the bare minimum profeciency in tactical actions and practices to be sent to war we have sent unfit soldiers into harms way. This stupidity on the part of Congress to impose its political correctness agenda in an area that makes it detrimental to the participants has created the overwhelming number of PTSD cases ever seen in this country.
Had the suspect had to attempt to make it through Basic Training 50 years ago or even 25, chances are that he would have been weeded out for failure to adapt. And had that been allowed, instead of being considered mean and unjust by politicians that have no real clue about what it takes to carry out their whims for power, the event at Ft. Hood would have never happened. And as for the gun control lobbyists, if our military members were ALWAYS armed in uniform on duty, at most 2 persons would have lost their lives, the suspect and possibly his first victim. Unfortunately, for our military members and their families, no politician will speak on this real issue.

Geography Is Not Changed By Whims

So once again there are headlines defining Europe and or the EU. Apparently Geography is no longer taught in any school system in the world. Joining the EU does not make someone European. Europe is a continent, it is a geographic body and all countries that are located within the borders of the continent of Europe are European.
I do not understand the concept of the Ukrainians need to join the EU to be European......they already are.. Ukraine is located entirely within the borders of Europe. Nothing changes that and that fact makes ALL Ukrainians European. Even Russia is located within the borders of Europe to the Ural Mountains. So this concept of being European or Russian is also erroneous. It seems to be lost on a lot of people that certain things are not "changeable." The country you are born in determines your natural citizenship, however, it does not necessarily determine your ethnicity, that is determined by your ancestral lines. The location of the country that you are born in does not move on whims or political elections. Yes, you can move to new countries and you can change your citizenship, however that does not change your birthplace, nor does it change the location of the previous or current country.
Then today there is another headline that the EU isn't Europe without Serbia.....again I state, Europe is a geographic identity, not a choice, not a club, not a group. Joining Europe is like choosing parents after birth, it does not change your DNA. The same as being born with white or black skin, deciding that you want to be black or white does not change your skin color.  It was this misguided concept that lead to the violence and unrest in Ukraine. So I state, again, that countries should want to be free and independent. They should not want to answer to anyone except their own citizens.  And the citizens of each country should want their governments to only answer to them, not to them and other groups that do not have their best interests in mind. Trust me NO other country has the best interests of your country in mind ahead of or before their own. Only a fool would believe that.
There is absolutely no reason for the EU to care more about your people or country than the government and citizens of said countries. And if the governments and citizens really cared about their countries and their independence and freedom they would not want to join the EU or any other organization that takes away their independence and dictates their policies and alliances.

It's Broke, But We Won't Fix It...........

The Justice System that is. Matter of fact to call it broken would mean that it has improved. There are more aspects of the system that are broke, corrupt, immoral, abused, or outdated than there are parts of the engine itself. Another example of just how broken this system is, is the recent plea-deal agreement with a member of the DuPont family of Delaware over the rape of his own 3 year old daughter.  As horrendous as this crime is, it is just another example that we would rather hide from truth and not face reality within our society and the superior belief held by the masses that since we are so affluently civilized and crime doesn't effect us we do not have to worry about it or deal with it.
The reality is that having a proactive, well thought out, effective and forward looking justice system is to the benefit of not only the stability and security of the internal functions of society, but will also improve the health and strength of the society over time. These facts make the justice system second to the education system in importance for the survival and advancement of community. Some of you might argue that health care should be one of the top 2 systems for society, the fact is that the more successful your education and justice the better the standard of health is of individuals within society as a result of the improvement of the health of the whole society.
What does this mean? It means that we need to take the time to face the fact that both our education and justice systems are beyond broken. We need to recognize that both are vital to all members of society, not just those that are 'handled' by those systems. We need to not only say equal opportunities, we need to provide them. We need not only say equality for all, we need to insure it.
We have the tools to make the changes, what we need is the courage and determination. We need to remember that all children are different with different gifts and we do have the means, facilities and technology to meet the needs of ALL our children. Understanding and accepting and even appreciating the differences of each and every child is the basis for a successful education system and the first step in creating a fair justice system as well. We need to cease having just one measure for 'smart' and one measure for success. Not every child is an academic, not every child is an athlete, not every child is super-star and that is not only okay, it is what is needed. If every child was a doctor or lawyer, then they might be rich but they would not have houses or cars or food or clothes or offices or any of those 'finer things' that parents seem to think measure success of their parenting styles.
Our education and justice systems began to fall apart as we changed our values from character and honor and being the best that you can be to how big a house can you mortgage, how fancy a car can you lease, how many 'toys' can you charge. We no longer judge people by their actions but by the things they have. The result is that our selves and society are hollow and we are more unhappy, less mentally stable and less fulfilled.
We have become so morally bankrupt that we think privatizing prisons is an acceptable thing. That is the worst thing. But we need to completely change our punishment and rehabilitation mentality. Prisoners should not be separated from their minor children, especially if they are single parents, unless their crime was committed against one of their children. Part of the 'punishment and rehabilitation' should include as mandatory the parent's involvement and accountability to their child and the life of that child. While I think Amnesty International and other watch dog groups have their place, I think they need to re-think what is humane and what isn't. Prisoners doing 'hard labor' in fair and safe conditions is not in and of itself inhumane. Having prisoners clean their own facilities and grow their own food and participate in daily living activities is not inhumane either. Prisoners do not need to spend their days being idle watching trash TV, that is inhumane and in no way improves their sense of self-worth or allows them the self-respect and sense of pride that comes from being a contributing member of a group. It is these changes in the internal self views of prisoners that will increase their chance of legitimate success after incarceration.
These suggestions are just the tip of the iceberg of changes that need to be made. It would take at least a couple volumes of well thought out and effectively expressed detailed concepts rebuilding both the education and justice systems from the ground up to include all the needed changes and redefined measures of success. Hopefully, this tip of the iceberg will start the thinking and dialogue needed to initiate the change. Change that will benefit EVERYONE!

Where has real news gone???????

This past week the news has reported on a substitute teacher being arrested for DUI in Oklahoma and an elderly man taking home the wrong student from a school in Connecticut, not to mention updates on plea deal offered for Bieber and issues with Katy Perry's accessories in a music video........
Really??? This is the best that you can do???? How does national news channels justify that the whole nation needs to know that some drunk was arrested in the school parking lot in Oklahoma? Where is the story there? There are thousands of drunks arrested everyday, a lot of them are headed to work, some as healthcare providers and others in fields that help protect our weakest citizens. If we covered every arrest we would know absolutely nothing of real importance in the world. While these stories might be important to the parents of said schools, they have absolutely NO impact on the nation as a whole.
The intentional distraction of the American public with stupid, needless nonsense to facilitate the abuse of power prevalent in the current and recent administrations as well as the reality that big business and government are allies without regard for the public is only magnified by the fact that 6 mega-news corporations control over 75% of the news in the nation as well as in the world. Comcast and Time Warner will merge to create a basic national monopoly in the cable/internet provider sector and there is not a single outraged government voice yelling about anti-trust laws and the courts are not going to consider the merger illegal under monopoly regulations.
Our schools no longer educate our youth, instead they teach conformity and rule following without questions. They insist on our children being tattle tells and whiners instead of teaching them to solve issues and problems on their own or to be responsible for their own actions or heaven forbid to stand up for themselves. Teachers whom actually teach the Constitution as the living framework of our nation instead of some historical document with no current applications, are disciplined and risk losing their career. This mentality is evident across all areas of government control. Just look at our healthcare system, it is big business and government that is telling doctors what and how to treat patients instead of doctors working with their patients to encourage healthier lifestyles. There is no profit in healthier lifestyles that compares to the profit of chemical masking of increased poisoning of the body so that more chemicals are need to mask the harmful effects of the first chemicals that merely masked the symptoms so that the patient would require the continued ingesting of said chemicals to believe the lie of improved health.
Big business is so in control of the politicians that they can insure their profit margins simply by requiring laws that demand their products be purchased by private citizens. Our forefathers would be so disappointed in the state of the nation that they would lead another revolution. They never intended for government to intervene SO much in private affairs of men, that was the whole reason this country was founded, to PREVENT government's interference in the private affairs of men.
The first amendment we created to ensure the integrity of men and journalists among other things. Yet, today there is NO integrity within the newsrooms of the nations. They are controlled and run by big business, in order to promote the propaganda that they wish to ensure the conformity they require to maintain their profit margins and way of life. The fact that ordinary citizens seem to think this is a good idea, proves just how successful the socialist mentality of the education system has become.
This current state of affairs will be the undoing of this nation. And the undoing will come sooner rather than later. There is no one to blame but the everyday individual American citizen for not loving the nation handed them by their forefathers to insure that it remains for future generations. The country is less secure, not more secure; the individual is less intelligent and educated, not more civilized or advanced; the world is on the brink of major change, not steadily moving forward to some illusion of unity and peace.
There is still time to change the course of history, but only if you stop deluding yourself that actors, singers, and reality TV are in fact REAL and instead remember that your children, your neighbor, your community are what is truly real. Make no mistake this is not something that you can put off until you decide to get around to it.....time will come, when it is too late.

Random Thoughs About Random Things

So today I am going to point out some random things that display how far we have distanced ourselves from common sense. It just amazes me some days how little most people just go along with the crowd without a single thought. Why do people buy into the idea that EVERYONE has the same DREAM. We don't! We are individuals, we all have different talents and gifts, different strengths and weaknesses. There is a very good reason for that, it is suppose to take ALL of us using our individual talents and gifts to make the world a better place and to make our quality of life better. It should disappoint us greatly that we no longer encourage individualism but instead blindly enforce conformity.

We think it is best for our children to wear uniforms to school, instead of expressing their individuality. And that is the foundation of uniforms. That is why uniforms are used by military, law enforcement, and prisoners. They are a symbol of being just a part of a whole. In those 3 examples the need for uniforms are for the completion of the mission successfully. However, in the instant of schools, the use of school uniforms has limited the individual growth of our children. It inhibits their natural curiosity and creativity. In most states, the whole purpose of the "education" system is not to educate but to teach conformity and blind obedience.

And with the prison system, while the use of uniforms is appropriate, the system itself is so broken that it in NO way accomplishes the mission of rehabilitation. Matter of fact the prison system works just like the welfare system; it is designed to keep the fallen down and to ensure that the broken remain in pieces. The Cook County Jail is the largest jail in the country and it is also the largest mental health facility in the country as well. As a nation we spend hundreds of millions on luxuries for the 'public servants,' which in no way benefits the nation as a whole, yet we release individuals back into society, with no betterment from the start of their incarceration and no path to achieve betterment on their own. And spending money on that would benefit the whole nation, even the greedy corporations that could have a broader labor force and stronger consumer base for their products and services. Which begs the question, why keep them down....

The current state of the US, shows just how much damage can be done when your primary focus is money. When your motivation is greed. When your desire is for instant gratification. When you measure success by the number of things you have. When your dreams come from without instead of within. When you blindly support the inept leaders of your government. When the real leaders of the country are owned by big business. When you allow laws that infringe on basic common sense and human rights. When you surrender unconditionally to terrorism, yet allow a half planned war against terrorist.

If you think the observances are extreme, think, on your own, about these examples. It is illegal in most states to collect rain water on your own property. It is illegal in most counties to grow a garden in your yard. Walking into the Social Security Administration office with picture ID does not prove you are living. You are required by law to purchase products, think of insurance. Everyday you allow the government to infringe on your rights and the rights of your fellow man under the guise of safety and national security. So when you have NO real rights left you have no one to blame but yourself.....cause knowing what the Kardashians were doing and buying the latest shoes was more important than attending the local school board meeting; cause you throw a party every year for the Super Bowl but cannot find the time to vote on election day, both of which fall basically on the same day every year.

Working Full Time ......For What......

One of the most disturbing problems in the "richest" country in the world is the fact that working full time does not mean you make enough to live. And this statement is not having 1 full-time paycheck trying to support a whole family; it is speaking about supporting just the employee. The fact that someone working 40 hours per week cannot put a roof over their head or food on their table is a huge shame for this country.
The current minimum wage for the U.S. is $7.25, there are 18 states and the District of Columbia that have minimum wages higher than the national minimum. This may sound like a good thing but the minimum wage does not equate to a living wage. “The idea of a living wage is that workers and their families should be able to afford a basic, but decent, life style that is considered acceptable by society at its current level of economic development,” This is a huge variable, however it is not an impossible accomplishment. In an MIT study it was determined that not a single state has a minimum wage that meets a living wage. There are 2 states that come close to providing a living wage, North and South Dakota, all other states are falling short.
Some may say that this issue is not major and shouldn't take up time when there are so many other 'more important' issues that need our attention. Really? The other 2 issues that might be more important would actually benefit from all workers earning a living wage, those issues being our educational system and our justice/prison system.
Congress has argued that the minimum wage was never intended to support a family, the issue is that in most cases the minimum wage as shown in the afore links does not only not provide for a family, it doesn't support an individual. This argument seems fraught with misconceptions and just something as simple as setting a minimum living wage would have ramifications that would benefit all aspects of society. Of course the effects of keeping a majority of people below a living wage benefits the leaders.....it is the same tactic used by war lords, dictators, and terror leaders and recruiters.
In 1968 the minimum wage was $1.60; however, that wage had the same buying power as earning $10.74 today. That might sound not that bad since some figures show that most American workers make that now or close. But the inflation numbers used are the government's and therefore, play down the rate of inflation and decreased buying power of the American worker. "According to Social Security Administration about 40% of American workers make less than $20,000; that means that 40% of American workers earn less than they would have in 1968."
Now there are arguments that increasing the minimum wage will not improve those living below the poverty level. Those against raising the minimum wage insist that only part time workers will benefit from a minimum wage increase, since they claim that most full-time workers make more than minimum wage. Their other argument is that less than 10% of those living at or below poverty are full-time minimum wage earners, that in fact almost 70% are not working at all. However, the point they miss is how broken our "welfare" system is that actually prevents people from moving from welfare effectively and efficiently to full-time work force participant. Again, this dependency on the government is of benefit to the government. It is never a good government that wants it people dependent.

Ignored Warnings...........................

Mr. Orwell warned us decades ago that we should always be vigilant, else the government would be ursurped by those with without moral compasses, that if we as a society stopped thinking for ourselves and speaking up when wrong was committed then we would lose our independence and freedom. The signs are everywhere, yet the masses seem to be totally clueless. The signs are all around us...all you need do is to open your eyes and look. From such simple things as school uniforms, to whistle-blowers being charged and labeled as traitors.
Now if you do not see the connection between school uniforms and big brother, let me illustrate; when you require children to conform to what the institution deems correct thinking then they limit descent among the masses. The "school uniforms" have gone so far as to limit hair color and styles allowed, to even what names are appropriate for school. You might say what is the big deal......these little rules crush independent thought and expression, that is the BIG DEAL! When our children are punished for their imagination and curiosity and for being children we have reached the bottom. We have children that must have their "thoughts and words" approved before graduation speeches, that is absurd! We have children that are threatened with expulsion for dying their hair, that is absurd! We have children that are told that "men don't wear skirts", idiots do not even know what kilts are, that is absurd! The official statement is that all the above "bad things" prevent children from learning, they disrupt the classroom and learning experience. My retort would be what learning experience? Children are not educated in public schools; everything they are taught is focused on one thing.....taking annual standardized tests. They are not taught to think, that is a bad thing. They are not taught to explore, that is a bad thing. They are not taught to question, that is a really bad thing.
Teachers are punished for teaching things like the 5th Amendment. Children are punished when parents speak out. The information that is published "as fact" in school textbooks is not totally accurate nor is it complete, in some cases what is published it completely wrong. Most teachers are not learned in the subjects they teach, instead they have degrees in "how to teach." That has always confused me, if you do not know a subject, if you are not learned in a subject, how can you instruct that subject.  Of course again we are training compliant masses not independent thinking citizens. So the less students know the better the establishment is.
And if you manage to get through the public education system with a free-thinking working brain, you will be punished. That will be for certain if you speak out against the government. If you do not agree, just look at the 8 individuals that have been charged with crimes for nothing more than speaking out. I do have to commend the Military Judge for not convicting PFC Manning with Aiding the Enemy; that charge had been a reach from the start. To have found Manning guilty of that charge would have made every Special Ops soldier that has been sent to any country recently to aid "rebels" in their uprisings subject to the same charge and would have basically demanded their conviction. We know for a fact that ALL aid that this government sends to Syrian Rebels is in fact reaching named terrorist enemies of not only the US, but also the EU and Russia as well as many other countries around the world. And I am sure that we will NEVER see one of those men charged with Aiding the Enemy, and for following orders sanctioned by the Commander in Chief, they shouldn't be, however there are provisions under UCMJ that not only allow for soldiers to disobey immoral or criminal orders, but encourage such action. To bad those provisions are merely words in the regs and not practiced behavior of our officers and enlisted military personnel. The intimidation factor in place presently is merely to ensure that most people DO NOT speak out for fear of losing EVERYTHING. And if you do speak up as in the case of Edward SNOWDEN, not only will they go after you, the institution will threaten those countries that do not bow to their demands. These actions are not the actions of 'the land of the free and the home of the brave!'

Violent Video Games Is Not The Issue............

Lack of leadership and interaction is the real issue. Every time there is some act of horrendous violence the media and politicians and "experts" scream that there is some outside influence, usually violent video games or movies are the named culprit; but they are merely scapegoats. The real issue is more complex and passes closer to the accused in these situations than music or movies or video games. The origin of the issue is big business, now you might be thinking well big business that is music, movies and video games, but this big business is pre-modern violent influence, as defined by today's experts. Why as defined by 'today's experts', history shows that warriors and battle glory have always been part of our stories, songs and play; yet mass violence is a recent issue.
How is it that I state big business as the origin of this issue, greed....the motivation with ALL big business is ALWAYS greed. It might sound somewhat hypocritical for me to say that nouveau big- business is more culpable than old big business. But it will make sense as I explain my position. As big business grew greedier and could no longer rob their workers of fair wages and treatment they exacted their revenge on the consumer. With the on set of innovation in communications, especially mass media outlets, and the prosperity enjoyed after WWII combined with the independence women experience with the shortage of males for the work-force during the war; big-business had a great opportunity to exploit the consumer for some if not all the profit lost with better labor laws enforce. Marketing became a multi-million dollar job and convinced families that they needed shinier cars, bigger houses, and more gadgets, that truly do not improve our quality of lives regardless of what the ads tell you.
Marketing shifted the measure of success from how you lived your life and raised your children or participated in the community to how big your house was, how new your car was, how many gadgets you have in your house. In short the measure of a man became the bottom line of his "image" (which usually never matches his true bottom line) rather than the character of the man and his actions. In order to increase the "success" of said man, he had to work more and eventually his wife also needed to work as well. As this change occurred another change occurred within society as well, our choices about life revolved around this new measure of success and not about values or happiness or bettering the world.
Nemo vir est qui mundum non reddat meliorem
Most men have no idea what the above quote states, much less what it means, so far have we come from internal to external value.
The real crime with this is our loss of leadership and example for our children as they grow up. For most children they are in the hands of others from a mere few weeks of age. There is not someone who truly loves them to teach them and guide them and show them how to grow into people of humanity. When children act out, they are screaming for real love, loving action, loving attention; how do adults react? they reply with why are you being so ungrateful you have an iPod, iPhone, XBox, new shoes, new clothes, blah blah blah. And this is the child's experience in every aspect of their life.....in their daycare and later in school they are 1 of up to 50 kids vying for the attention of 1 teacher, whom in most cases doesn't even like children much less love the priviledge of helping to mold and shape little minds into amazing, creative, soulful adults that could be a positive influence in the world.
Most teachers like the hours and the job security. However, this is not a bash on teachers per say as I believe they are almost as much victims of big-business as children are. Teachers used to spend real time with children, they knew their students, they expected kids to be kids, full of energy and curiosity, little sponges ready to soak up all the information that you could pour into them. Now teachers are the bottom of the food chain in the education system, which should be totally destroyed and rebuilt, but that is another post for another time. Kids that act like kids are labeled as trouble and are drugged. Kids that have no desire or no true ability to be doctors or lawyers or some other "high paying" profession are considered unsuccessful or lazy or worse a failure. This is WRONG!
Big-business bought politicians and political parties to ensure that their profit lines are protected. Greed entered politics on a whole new level and merged into a true hydra for the detriment of humanity and the world. What is good for big-business and government are people that are controlled by them. What is good for humanity is teaching each child that they are the hope and wonder and joy of tomorrow. That they are unique and special and it is that uniqueness and specialness that makes them valuable.
When young adults commit horrendous acts of violence it is because when they whispered, no one listened to them, when they spoke they were told not now I'm busy, when they cried they were told all the "things" they had and are criticized for being thoughtless or disrespectful or selfish (how dare our children want our love and time and attention and affection), when they screamed out they were labeled and medicated, so what choice did they have other than to commit horrendous acts of violence.

We Don't Like The Problem ...................

So Instead Of Fixing It................... WE CRIMINALIZE IT!!!!!!

As a society we have totally lost our common sense. What do I mean? I mean that we no longer use logic, reason or common sense to improve our daily lives or to solve problems that we have created from our greed and selfishness. Our greed and shelfishness has destroyed our since of community and responsibility to our fellow man.  We are much more concerned with taking from others before they take from us. We only care about winning and not how we play the game. Sportsmanship used to matter, it was much more honorable to lose gracefully and honorably (that means playing by the rules mattered) than to win cheating.
What we have missed is that sports used to teach us some good rules to live by; playing by the rules was for EVERYONE, being part of a team (community/society) means caring about others, winning by the rules was something to be proud of, team captains (leaders) were responsible for the keeping the whole team moving in the same direction, practice makes for improvement (but it takes time), team meetings focused on identifying weaknesses and finding solutions. Now instead we only care about winning and then we pretend to be outraged when someone is caught cheating.....we aren't mad they cheated we are mad they got caught, that means we have to momentarily see the truth. Good thing we have short memories else we might really dislike ourselves for the empty shells we have become.
Now how do we get from sports to crime....unfortunately there are lots of ways to do that...but this particular path is the short one; the one that is too impatient and detached to really invest time and effort into truly solving real problems. There are many examples of how this path actually increases the problems because the fastest solution is usually not just a bad solution but is such a bad problem that it increases the original problem by creating more problems.
We didn't like children getting killed by drinking and driving, so instead of teaching children to be responsible for their actions and instead of looking at the real issue, that a majority of the incidents that were used to demand raising the legal drinking age were in fact not committed by teens partying on weekends, but by middle-aged drunks between morning and early afternoon during the week. We "solved" this by criminalizing the responsible drinking by legal adults that are still considered capable of choosing the leaders of the country as well as giving their life for the same country, instead of demanding stricter enforcement of laws already in place.
We didn't like the terror acts committed on 9/11 so instead of admitting that it was the lazy and incompetent security workers in Banger, Maine allowed the best opportunity for these attacks. So we initiated policy and practices that took away most of our freedoms while traveling, including how, when, and where we can travel. In this case not only have we not truly ever taken the time to understand the event or the circumstances that led to the event, we have American companies making their entire profits off of our "criminalizing" free travel in America.
We didn't like the increase in violent crimes, so instead of truly looking at the failure of not only the justice and prison system but also the education system as well as government involvement in community "betterment", so we blamed "guns" and criminalized legal gun ownership. We miss the basic premise that it is most often "career criminals" that commit violent crimes and those persons do not tend to worry about laws or walk into legal venues for the purpose of purchasing firearms.
Now, we don't like seeing homeless people on our streets or in our cities; so what have we done? We are criminalizing homelessness. This is just another example and maybe one of the most absurd that shows just how hollow we have become as a whole. We as a country expect EVERYONE to be successful by the standards of money and things; yet, we do not provide equal or every opportunity to ensure the mostly likely outcome. Of course the real reason that we do not is that government needs division to stay in power. The best way to stay in power is to make sure your enemies are divided.
We have no one to blame for our de-evolution except ourselves.

Is there any hope........

No, I haven't written anything in the last few days. Why? you might ask....cause we are stuck in the same gear.....STUPID!!! I only write about things that really speak to me, that I really feel about. But at some point you have to ask; "Do you keep trying to save people that seem to have NO desire to be saved?"
That is where I am momentarily standing. I think we all reach spots on our path where we wonder if we make a difference, wonder if it is worth continuing, wonder if anyone is getting the message. The news is pretty much the same, not just the US but around the world people are all in some state of unrest or disappointment over the George Zimmerman trail. Why? It was one stupid man that did one stupid act that resulted in the death of a child. This is not to diminish the loss of life of Trevon Martin, but everyday since the day that Zimmerman and Martin crossed paths some has died a violent death at the hands of a violent person who was carrying out a planned act of violence for little or no or stupid reasons. Yet, not one of those violent deaths at the hands of violent criminals was the center of media frenzy. Why? Cause the government whats you focused on things that do not really matter. Yes, I know that I sound callus especially to the family and friends of Trevon Martin; but, his death was the result of 2 individuals not making the smartest choices. The other deaths that I have previously mentioned are the result of the failure of the education system, the failure of the legal system, the failure of the prison system, the failure of most if not all levels of government and society.
Why didn't these murders create the same media frenzy as with Zimmerman/Martin? Simple reason, to divert attention away from real crimes and real problems so that the government would not have to answer to the people. And as easily fooled as Americans are, it was an easy thing to accomplish. It has even given something for other countries to use as diversion to their own real issues. When will the masses wake up and see that their governments are filled with bad people that serve their own interests and not the interests of their people.
People complain about no jobs, government spending, the price of things going up. Yet they do not bother to pay attention to the positions of politicians, they do not speak out, they do not protest, they do not even vote half the time.
Democracy only works if you participate.

No Hope Under Treason

American allies for today show as much honor as the current US government. It is like beating a dead horse to keep repeating that if one weapon or one dollar or one first aid kit reaches any of the "rebels" in Syria from the US government then treason will have been committed.

Treason is the act of assisting or rendering aid to or providing comfort for the enemies of the United States or her citizens.

We are engaged in a GWOT and have a standing policy not to support or deal with terrorists. But just like every part of the Constitution and our laws that have been inconvenient to him, Obama just ignores them and does what he wants. And Congress whom is suppose to keep the Commander in Chief in check have turned a blind eye to his crimes. But then again, Congress has not done their job since Obama has been in office. Yet, they have stayed in office and even given themselves pay raises every year. And the American public seems to be totally agreeable with loosing all their liberties and rights as long as they have their worthless money and gadgets.
The alliance between big business and the government has successfully destroyed the spirit of the American. They have corrupted the American Dream from achieving your dreams by working hard and living a good life with values and morals to being totally consumed with desire for things and more things and little concern about anything outside their own personal space. Oh, sure we watch the news and say that is awful or they don't deserve that or we should change that but that is where it ends.
It is interesting that people in countries that have fewer rights and liberties and more to lose taking stronger stances against their governments to keep them in check than we do. There are protests every day in countries around the world speaking out against lesser injustices than we have seen carried out here. The American public has allowed the government to destroy the economy and the rebuild an imaginary one to replace it, they are stamping out our rights in the name of security.
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither safety nor liberty.
Our schools no longer teach the Constitution or how to think independently. They instead teach compliance and ignorance. It is a shame that the US has lost its spirit and direction.

This isn't Nazi Germany...........................................yet

"You can't have 100% security and also then have 100% privacy and zero inconvenience. We're going to have to make some choices as a society." -President Obama on NSA surveillance controversy

This concept that the world can and should be 100% secure is ludicrous. Life is not suppose to be without risk or pain or hurt. As the saying goes you cannot have a rainbow without some rain. It is amazing that Americans have become so complacent and straight up lazy that the normal expectation is that the government is responsible for your safety always and that giving up your freedoms and rights that our fore- fathers gave their lives for means so very little now. Benjamin Franklin along with all the other founding fathers are rolling over in their graves and shedding tears of anguish and disappointment. The founding fathers knew that to keep a country free the primary and necessary ingredient was active, informed, involved and motivated citizens. It is this understanding that is the basis for the most famous words “of the people, by the people, for the people.” While most Americans seem to be all about for the people when the person is themselves they seem to have lost the other two parts of the foundation. With knowledge and wisdom our founding fathers in the writing of the Constitution insured that we were to always have the means to keep the government in line.
Apparently our lovely education system is failing in its goal of educating our citizens to take their place in this country as active and informed members of society that keeps our government limited and in check. Of course that is because the public education system in this country is by design and method trying to create socialist subjects of a corrupt, ever expanding government. But that is fodder for a whole other post. Back on track the Constitution was written in a way to limit the federal government. Yes, I am telling you that it a fact, the federal government is supposed to limited. That is to ensure that we never become subjects again but always remain citizens. The preamble of the Constitution states our duties and responsibilities as citizens. Yes, we as citizens have duties and responsibilities and very few of us live up to those responsibilities. As a means for us, the citizens, to fulfill our duties we were given the method and means by which to keep the government in check. They are known as the Bill Of Rights. And there is NEVER a good reason to limit those rights. Once you allow those rights to be limited, especially for the sake of security, you have given up both your rights and your security. The difference is that if you give those rights to the government and not keep them for yourselves then you have just made the whole country weaker and you have helped in the corruption of the government and started the rotting process. When this country fails, you need to stand up tall and proud and say, “Yes, this is my work, this is what I have helped to create.” When your family members are imprisoned for something stupid, do not get upset, remember you wanted your government to keep you 100% safe. When you cannot go to your local library or bookstore and pick up any book of your choice you should feel happy in the realization that you are being protected by your government. When you see nothing bad about the government in the news, cheer for joy cause you wanted to be taken care of like a serf instead of stepping up and acting like a free man.
There are some of you that are reading this and saying, that would never happen here. You sound like the Germans of the 1920's and 30's. It can and will happen as long as you ignore your duty and responsibilities to yourself, your family and your country. The only thing that evil needs to flourish is for good men to do nothing. That is exactly what happened in Germany with Hitler. He was charismatic and had all the answers and promised to restore the glory of Germany and to create a job for everyone. He promised to create a perfect, safe society where everyone would go to school, have a job, have a home, be fed. And he started by growing the government to create jobs and then in the schools he taught only what he wanted the children to know and created a subject population that was completely loyal to him. Then he instigated gun registration “for the safety of the society” and created a nation where anyone could be jailed or removed for the most insignificant of offenses. He encouraged neighbors to not be involved but to spy and rat on their neighbors. He created division between the sub-cultures that made up German society. He kept people so focused on little details that even outsiders missed the grand plan until it was too late.
The smart members of society see these same things happening in the name of security and are speaking out and of course the government is going to call them crazy and paranoid, they do not want the masses to see the truth. They want the masses to be so focused on the next new gadget that you just HAVE TO HAVE or else you are no one, so that they can further watch you and control you and label you and know when they will need to contain you. Welcome to 1984 and you have NO ONE to blame, you asked and begged the government to take away your rights and to enslave you, so do not cry out in despair when you are taken away in shackles or when your children are the ones that have turned you in. For you were too busy with your petty money and things collecting to be bothered with being involved in your community and being responsible for your rights and the rights of your family. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBLITIY AND YOUR FAULT! YOU CANNOT SAY YOU DID NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN! YOU DID! Doing nothing is more damaging than doing the wrong thing this time.
