Surprise...Surprise...More Hyprocisy....

This week has seen the rage of citizens from around the world. As well as the fall of one Prime Minister, so far. The cause is the now infamous Panama Papers leak of documents from the Law Office of Mossack Fonseca. Irronically, once again the Western MSM followed 'the rules' and ran headlines of how Putin was named in the Panama Papers. Is there anyone in the US that actually practices journalism anymore? Putin was not even named in the documents that were released. However, the parents of British Prime Minister David Cameron were included as well as the Icelandic Prime Minister as his wife.

After the revelation of Prime Minister Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson, at least 22,000 Icelanders protested for his resignation. For a country that less than 330,000 residents that is a significant turn out. The UK did not see that kind of outrage, of course the UK did not oust its corrupt bankers either. So far about 200 Americans have been identified in the papers. Most of the Americans that are listed have some criminal involvement. However, the papers are still being scoured. The low number of Americans and the lack of high level Americans has people asking how that is possible. Maybe there is some truth to the theory that American intelligence had something to do with the leak or at least the hack.

The fact is that the US has 'in-house' tax havens. Some states, such as Wyoming and Delaware and others, have secrecy that is on par with the likes of Switzerland and the Caymans. The irony is that the US demands that other countries give them information about the banking of US citizens abroad, but does not return the favor. Matter of fact the US has such a hostile attitude about getting information from foreign banks that many Americans abroad have found themselves without banking options in countries they reside in.

The fall out will continue no doubt for weeks, and we will see more mention of Putin's connections to listed clients, however, we will see very little about the other leaders that are named or have close family members implicated. The irony is that more than likely the connections to Putin, probably will not be as strong as McCain's connections to known terrorists.

To see a partial list of names found in the paper.

D Day +70 years......

Today is the 70th anniversary of D-Day. And this post should be about honoring the honorable, brave men that stormed the beaches and eventually fought their way to Berlin. My problem is that it seems that their service to once great nations was in vain. Thus, the ceremonies taking place on sacred ground are a farce. Many of the remaining warriors from that Good War traveled great distances, both physical and emotional, to stand on the same sand that was stained with the blood of young boys full of heroic fear. Those young men from nations near and far stepped up and took a stand against evil and oppression. They trusted their governments and they were full of idealism. It was, on the surface, the Good War.
But, today it seems that we are full of bad wars and the leaders cannot be trusted. Ironically, those immoral, cowardly (with the exception of Prince Phillip) leaders of the West turned this momentous occasion into a political drama scene. Apparently, POTUS can sink lower than thought possible. Less than month ago the hottest story was how the US treats its survivors of this historic day, which Obama managed to hide behind an even more insulting event to those men and women that have given so freely in defense of the idea of America. He traded 5 high ranking Taliban leaders for 1 little Private that willing walked off his post in a war zone after sending home all personal valuables and stating his disillusionment with certain aspects of the situation. With these fires burning at home, POTUS flies off to Europe as the leader of the US at the ceremony remembering D-Day, 70 years ago. The truly pathetic role that Mr. Obama chose to play this week was one of a spoiled, entitled, ill-mannered child, mad that he wasn't getting all the other kids at the cool table to follow his demands and knowing that all those "nobody kids" in the world were watching the event unfolded in real time.
Here is the deal POTUS, when you travel as the elected leader of the US, you are representing EVERY American. Some of us are not so uncultured as to think your behavior which is more reminiscent of a reality TV show (insert your own example of de-evolution) represents us and we are appalled that you think your classless rude behavior elevated you on the world chessboard. How dare you smear what our fathers and grandfathers died for on that beach! How dare you use their sacrifice to take jabs at Mr. Putin, whom represents an important ally in that Good War, that apparently you did not study while prancing and strutting through the halls of Harvard, finally decrying your blackness, having found that it gets you extras without actually being anything special, which is also an insult to each and every African-American whom fought and defended this nation and did it not by pointing out the color of their skin but in spite of the color of their skin. You shame them the most, they fought and struggled for you to have an equal and fair chance and you took their struggle and mocked it by claiming their heritage as your own and demanding benefit for it.
You should have conducted yourself with class and dignity. You should have focused on the meaning of this event. You should have made EVERY attempt to take the higher road, you know that one that you often look up to and wonder what it is, since you have never actually taken the high road. This was not the time for political drama pouting. If you thought shunning Mr. Putin and speaking of the Iron Curtain and Cold War, made you a better man, it is just more proof of your totally and completely naracistic personality. You are not the better man, the better man would have shaken the hand of the man whom leads the country who lost more than 20mil people at the hands of Hitler, the US did not suffer cities under siege or bombings or combat in the streets and you totally belittled the price paid by all Russians over what, your campaign of "Everyone Hates Russia"? Shame on you!!! This was NOT your day, it was the day of those that fought and those that suffered and those that gave their lives. And you could not for one day think past yourself! I do hope that you are proud of yourself; cause I as one American am not!
To EACH and EVERY man and woman and child that suffered, survived, fought, and died from EACH and EVERY country; I salute you, I thank you, I honor you. To the men and women that fought the Good War, on D-Day and every day of the struggle you are our heroes, our hope and our future! Not just on this day but on everyday.

Typical Hypocrisy

The insanity in regards to Syria continues full force. Today it has been reported that the UN Human Rights Council has issued a report that "has condemned Syrian troops' attacks on the town of Qusair, and the use of foreign fighters in the offensive."   Yet there is NO mention for the condemnation of foreign fighters in the rebel ranks. This report was drafted by Quatar, which has foreign fighters inside Syrian on the rebel side. This gives ALL anti-American factions world-wide just one more justification to hate the US.
I find it ironic that the most recent scandal in the US is over the Justice Department gaining warrants for journalists' emails and phone records; in justifying their actions they allude to the possibility of treason or other criminal activity and of course they are playing the national security card. However, over the weekend Senator John McCain, of all politicians, pulled a Jane Fonda. I have been steadily loosing respect for the Senator over the last decade and his stunt this weekend sealed the coffin in my opinion. How dare he go and meet with rebels and just take their word that they are not extremist. How dare he say we should support these rebels whom are possibly even more guilty of war crimes than the Syrian government.
I'm curious, Sen. McCain, what do you think about the honor of your favored rebels' action in this video? If you can watch this video with your wife, children and grandchildren and look them in the eye and say that the rebels should be supported then I think you and your whole family should go on an extended visit to the rebel held area of Syria. I also challenge President Obama, Prime Minister David Cameron, and President François Hollande to do the same. Gather your family for movie night and watch that video and tell your wives and children how good the rebels are and how they deserve our support. But there is ONE rule....you have to watch the WHOLE video and your have to make sure your wives and children don't turn away or cover their eyes either, cause after all the rebels are fighting the good fight just like we have for over 200 years.
Any American government official that supports arming the "moderate" rebels, cause we can prevent the weapons from falling in the hands of terrorists and extremists; I have three words for you..."Fast and Furious"....that was such a stellar example of American control of weapons in the hands of criminals.
If the West had truly wanted to support the "real" or "true" Syrian rebels, then they should have stepped up on day one of the revolution/civil war, before the extremists and terrorists flooded into the war zone. It isn't like we are not aware of this activity. Terrorists, radicals, extremists, whatever label you want to give to them have been flooding into the war zones that involve Muslim peoples for over 40 years.
Once again the West has made a total mess by stomping into the affairs of a sovereign state. It can be understood how Britain and France do not respect the sovereignty of another state considering they have given up theirs to the EU and the arrogance of the current US government is also well documented. The real crime is that once again it is not American or British or French citizens that are paying the price. The afore mentioned leaders need to ask themselves one question before they stick their noses into the affairs of others "What if the table were turned?" The answer to that question should be their guide for their actions.
As a footnote, let it be known that I absolutely NEVER accept that a government has the right to violate the human rights of their own citizens. And when that violation occurs as the normal approved practice of a government I do expect the governments of other countries to step in swiftly and effectively and remove the government with the least amount of collateral damage and protect the population until the new government is in place and then leave.
